On a sad note Ron informed us that fellow broadcaster Ron Stone, who anchored the news for NBC affiliate KPRC-TV in Houston for 20 years is struggling with cancer and the prognosis does not look good said Franklin. During his tenure at KPRC Stone was referred to as "the most popular and revered news anchor the city has ever known" by the Houston Chronicle.
