AUSTIN, TX, April 30, 2005-  Saturday's second round at the FEDEX-Kinko's Classic got off to rough start. Inclement weather delayed the planned 9:15 tee times and play finally got under way on split tees at 11:50am.

Friday's leader Curtis Strange struggled with two bogeys and a double to close with a 74. Wayne Levi and Jim Thorpe shot a 67 and 69 respectively to put them tied for first.

On Sunday Wayne Levi will be going for his 3rd career Champions Tour victory. Levi's last win was at last year's Constellation Energy Classic. He last won in Texas at the 1979 Houston Open.

Jim Thorpe will be vying for his 10th Champions Tour win and his first win in the Lone Star State.

The Hills once again played tough with Saturday's scoring average a full stroke ahead of Friday's
at 74.6.

Larry Nelson, who won this event last year, perhaps had the most up and down round of the day. He posted 8 birdies in the last 11 holes but was only able to post a 1-under 71.

Due to potential cool weather early Sunday morning the field will go off on split tees starting at 11:45am.
