AUSTIN, Texas August 22, 2006 The Austin Academy, a local non-profit adult educational services organization, will host the “Drive for Education” golf tournament at Star Ranch Golf Club on Saturday, September 30, 2006 in Hutto, Texas.

The event is sponsored by Chrysler and all proceeds will go to support The Austin Academy’s adult education programs. This event is open to the public and will feature a best ball format.

The entry fee is $90 per person which includes green and cart fees, a continental breakfast, lunch and a gift bag. Registration begins at 7:30 am with a shotgun start at 8:00 am.

Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest putt, longest drive and more.

Through its innovative programs and classes, job placement, and referral services, The Austin Academy plays a vital role in strengthening the workforce by linking economically disadvantaged individuals with career opportunities.
